Ivan Vasilyevich Bobrov ( February 7 , 1904 , Moscow – April 12, 1952 , Moscow ) was a Soviet film actor. He was born in Moscow into a family of employees. In 1917 he graduated from the City Primary School, from 1918 he worked as a transport agent for the Sushchevsko-Maryinsky District Council, and from 1920 as a forwarding agent for the People's Commissariat of Forestry and Rustrans. In 1925, he made his film debut, playing the role of a young sailor in " Battleship Potemkin ". Possessing bright character traits and a winning appearance, Bobrov was in demand by various directors and was soon enrolled in the acting staff of the Moscow Sovkino Factory ( later Mosfilm ). From November 1926, he served in the Red Army , simultaneously engaging in boxing. Having achieved good results, in 1927-1928 he was sent on sports missions to Oslo and Riga by the OGPU . Having been demobilized in 1929, he continued to act in films, simultaneously, until 1931, working in the MPSO "Dynamo" as a boxing instructor. In 1941 he was evacuated to Uzbekistan, where he filmed at the Tashkent Film Studio until 1944 , and upon returning to Moscow in 1945 he was included in the State Film Actor's Theatre (Film Actor's Studio Theatre - since 1948), where he played roles in the plays: "Deep Roots" by D. Gow and A. D'Yusso, "Young Guard" by A. Fadeev, "Island of Peace" by E. Petrov, "Sofya Kovalevskaya" by the Tour Brothers. He died on April 12, 1952 in Moscow.
